It can smash roofs and wreck cars. It can also do damage that isn’t as obvious. Sometimes it takes an expert eye to recognize potential problems after a wind storm.

WHY IS WIND SO DAMAGING?
The direct force of the wind can tear away things like shingles and siding, and can even damage building structures. What is more, when the wind whips around buildings, negative pressure is applied to the leeward side. That negative pressure causes sucking. Put another way, the wind creates a vacuum that pulls on the building. That vacuum can be powerful enough to shatter windows from the outside.
